I had only thought about tying a bold bright scarf around a nice sun-hat in the spring & summer…
But my friend Amy McKeown has two scarves by me, and she’s tied them beautifully around her winter hats!
I think it’s very chic and adds a unique personality!

There’s a segment in the middle of this of part of my process from pinning fabric on the table through steaming on the stove.
And there are a LOT of photos of pieces still on my work table. I like those a lot.

I had a great group of models… Not only did they do a fantastic job, but they turned out to be great ladies that I really enjoyed, admire and respect! I hope to keep in touch with them as friends!
This piece is about 108″ x 45″, and would make an amazing wall hanging, or a sarong dress… Hand-batik silk, with wet-into-wet dye and brushed-on wax strokes used in creating the soft textures in this design.
